Everything you need to know before buying the Cooper Discoverer STT PRO in 37X/13.5 R22 123Q: what the size and ratings mean, which vehicles it suits, and what is included in the fitted price.
01What 37X/13.5 R22 means
Every tyre has its size printed on the sidewall. Here is what 37X/13.5 R22 123Q means:
- 13.5 — the aspect ratio: the sidewall is 13.5% of the width, about 0 mm tall.
- R22 — radial construction; fits a 22-inch wheel.
- 123 — the load index: up to 1,550 kg per tyre (6,200 kg for a set of four).
- Q — the speed rating: safe up to 160 km/h when correctly inflated and loaded.
02Who it suits
The Cooper Discoverer STT PRO is an all-terrain 4x4 tyre. It suits 4x4s, SUVs and pick-ups that split their time between tarmac and graded tracks, gravel or sand. All-terrain treads are a compromise: more grip and cut resistance off-road than a road tyre, with acceptable comfort and noise for daily driving on UAE highways.
This size carries a Q speed rating. Lower speed ratings like this are usual on 4x4, off-road and commercial tyres, where load and toughness matter more than top speed.
22-inch wheels are usually fitted to larger SUVs and performance cars, so low-profile sizes like this give sharp steering but less sidewall to absorb potholes — keep pressures at the level on your door placard.
It has a white letters sidewall finish.
The surest way to confirm the right size is the placard inside the driver’s door or your current tyre’s sidewall. You can also search tyres by car.
03In UAE conditions
Heat is the biggest factor for tyres in the UAE. Road surfaces regularly pass 60 °C in summer, which raises tyre pressure and speeds up wear and ageing. A few habits help any tyre last longer:
- Check pressures monthly, when the tyres are cold (early morning), and set them to the figure on your door placard.
- Respect the load rating: 1,550 kg per tyre is the maximum at full pressure. A heavily loaded car on a hot highway is the hardest test for any tyre.
- Rotate the tyres every 8,000–10,000 km so they wear evenly, and have the alignment checked if the car pulls to one side.
- Look for cracks, bulges or tread worn close to the wear indicators (1.6 mm) — replace the tyre if you find any.
04Year of manufacture
The last four digits of the DOT code on the sidewall show when a tyre was made: the week, then the year (for example, 1226 means week 12 of 2026).
The tyres for this listing are from 2024 production, made in the USA. We only sell new, unused tyres, and you can check the DOT code yourself when they are fitted.
