What to know before you buy OEM batteries in the UAE: what the technology is, which battery fits your car, how long to expect it to last in the heat, and what happens at replacement.
01What is an OEM battery?
OEM (original equipment manufacturer) specification means a battery that matches what your car was built with: the same size, terminal layout, capacity, cranking power and type.
Keeping to the original specification matters most on newer cars, where the charging system and battery management are calibrated for a particular battery. Tell us your car and we will match the factory specification.
02Which OEM battery fits my car?
The right battery depends on the size of the tray, the terminal layout, the capacity (Ah), the cold cranking amps (CCA) and whether your car has start-stop. Send us your make, model and year and we will match it.
| Car type | Typical battery | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Compact & sedan | Standard maintenance-free | Tray size and terminal side |
| SUV & 4x4 | Higher capacity, higher CCA | Starting power for bigger engines |
| Start-stop cars | EFB or AGM | Replace AGM with AGM |
| European premium cars | Often AGM | May need coding to the car |
03Battery life in UAE heat
Heat speeds up battery wear for every brand, so plan for replacement sooner than in cooler climates — around two to three years is typical in the UAE. A OEM battery will last longest when the car is driven regularly, parked in the shade where possible and the terminals are kept clean.
If your car is slow to start, or the battery is more than two years old, have it tested before the summer.
04Warranty & replacement
- Warranty terms are set by the manufacturer and depend on the battery model — we confirm them with your quote.
- The battery is fitted and your old battery is taken away for recycling.
- Keep your invoice: you will need it for any warranty claim.
